Foundation/Self-managed communities/Latin America

Communities that govern themselves.

CoCentrica gives a collective, a cultural space or a group of neighbours the thing they have always lacked: a clear way to decide together, receive contributions and show where every peso went — without depending on anyone's word for it.

They vouch for each other

Everyone inside is there because someone answered for them. That is the root of trust, and it is put on record.

Everything in view

Contributions, costs, agreements and decisions are recorded, and nobody can edit them after the fact.

Each writes its own rules

The community writes how it decides, who joins and how things are shared. No model is imposed from above.

One single identity

You take part in as many communities as you like with one identity, and your history travels with you.

What it solves

Communities rarely break for lack of will. They break because nobody knows who decided, or where the money went.

That is the problem we solve. A community organised on CoCentrica can receive contributions, pay the people who did the work, share what is left and hold agreements over time — and any of its members can verify all of it alone, without asking anyone for an explanation. Transparency stops being a promise and becomes the way the tool works.

Artist communities and the cultural scene

A collective puts on an exhibition, a concert or a residency. People arrive, get in with a wristband, a card or their phone, and give what they want. That donation does not vanish into anyone's pocket: it enters the collective's fund and is shared out in plain sight. This is the case the platform grew out of, and it is still the clearest.

  1. 01The community publishes the event and whoever is coming confirms.
  2. 02At the door people get in with an NFC wristband or card, or with their phone. Nobody depends on having battery, and there is no printed list.
  3. 03Anyone who wants to contribute does so at the door or inside — in cash, by transfer, or with the same wristband.
  4. 04Each contribution is recorded on the spot, with its date and who received it.
  5. 05At close, the community sees what came in, what the event cost and what each artist received.

Shared spaces

A cultural house, a workshop, a studio, a kitchen. Many hands on one place: who has access, who booked the room on Thursday, who chipped in for rent, who left it clean. The house agreement is written down and anyone can read it, instead of living in the head of whoever has been there longest.

Living under one roof

Roommates, a family, a house or flat shared by several people. Rent, utilities, groceries, cleaning, who has guests and when. The house rules are written down and agreed by everyone, shared costs live in one place, and whoever contributes more than their share — in money or in work — has a way to show it without having to complain.

Trips with friends

A group trip starts with enthusiasm and ends in a spreadsheet nobody wants to make. Who paid for fuel, who booked the house, who covered dinner, who owes what to whom. Here every expense is recorded on the spot, with who paid it and who it was for, and the split works itself out at the end — no arguments, no forgotten transfers.

Neighbourhood causes

Neighbours pooling money for something concrete: a mural, a court, lighting, security on the block. The obstacle here is never the will, it is the suspicion over who holds the pot. Every peso in and out carries a name, a date and a signature, and nobody has to take anyone's word.

Clubs, associations and teams

Memberships, dues, activities and volunteer work. Who is genuinely still active, who stopped coming, who holds the club up when nobody is watching. Recognition stops depending on one person's memory and becomes something the whole community can look up.

Networks across cities

Each community governs itself, but they all share one ecosystem. Someone who has earned their community's trust in Monterrey arrives at another in Bogotá and does not start from zero: their history travels with them. That is how a community that works can be replicated in another city without reinventing its rules.

Trust

People vouch for one another. That is what holds up everything else.

Nobody arrives at a community alone: someone inside answers for you, and that vouch is recorded. Over time, whoever takes part becomes verified — by what they contribute, what they hold up and who answers for them. It is not a score handed down from above: it is your history, built out of what you actually did.

Fig. 04 — How trust is built

Three things a community needs and almost never has come out of that.

Authenticity

You know who you are dealing with.

Verification

What someone says they did can be checked.

Safety

Whoever breaks the agreement answers to the community, not to an administrator.

Your presence

One identity, as many communities as you like.

Your Presence is who you are inside the ecosystem, not inside one group. With it you enter whichever communities receive you, and in each one you take part differently — but you remain the same person, with the same history. Creating it is open to anyone: your email and a six-digit code.

What is visible about you is your call. Address, phone and ID are stored encrypted and are never public. And every charge made to you at a community's counter is authorized with a PIN only you know.

Your presence does not depend on a phone. It can be linked to an NFC wristband or card, and with it you identify yourself at the door and pay at the counter — phone off, battery dead, or left at home.

The Co-Token

One unit for the whole ecosystem.

The Co-Token is the unit that sustains CoCentrica. Only the foundation issues it, it is worth the same in every community and it travels between them. Each community also keeps its own internal account for what happens inside; the Co-Token is what ties them together.

How you get it

With a donation to the foundation: by card, with a crypto deposit from a registered wallet, or in cash with whoever the foundation authorises to receive it. CoCentrica credits the Co-Tokens to your presence once the donation is confirmed.

What it is for

To activate the plans that unlock features for a presence or a community, to hold in reserve the community you open, and to contribute inside any community in the ecosystem.

What it is not

It is not a cryptocurrency, not money and not an investment. It is an internal unit of record: it does not exist outside the platform, it is not converted back to money and it yields nothing.

Co-Tokens are obtained with a voluntary, non-refundable donation to the foundation. They are not cryptocurrencies, money or financial instruments.

Your own community

Open your own community.

Any presence can open a community: a family sharing a home, a team, a collective, an organisation with hundreds of people. The community is born with its fund, its agreement and its counter, and you set its rules. Joining it still happens by invitation: nobody arrives alone.

A community opens with a plan sized to its members. The donation that activates each plan is set at that moment, in money or in Co-Tokens.

Features grow with size. The donation for each plan is set when it is activated.

How it is sustained

A community is sustained by Co-Tokens held in reserve. While the reserve is full, the community has its features and its capacity. If the reserve drops, the community does not close: what it can do shrinks, until the reserve is full again.

The Co-Tokens in reserve remain yours inside the platform: they sustain your community while they are there. Whoever opens it decides how many Co-Tokens to place in reserve and when, and the whole community sees the state of the reserve.

Mission

To create communities that govern themselves. CoCentrica is a governance simulation where people have fun, run events, build communities and manage themselves. It is legal technology and it is a game, and in both cases it does one thing: it makes people, activities and transactions transparent.

Vision

To connect people through nodes across Latin America, reach millions of users and drive the creation of governance systems that manage themselves. CoCentrica is a foundation: what comes in sustains the ecosystem, it does not pay out profits.
